HOT SPRINGS NATIONAL PARK, Arkansas — Registration is now open for the fifth running of the Northwoods Mullet Trail Run and Beaver Bash, scheduled for May 9 on the Northwoods Trail System in Hot Springs.
The event features a 25-kilometer and a 10-kilometer trail run, with separate start times for runners with dogs in each division. The Beaver Bash is a post-race celebration featuring live music, great food and beer.
“The Northwoods Mullet Trail Run and Beaver Bash welcomes Fleet Feet Little Rock as our new presenting sponsor,” said Visit Hot Springs Trails Coordinator Traci Berry. “Fleet Feet Little Rock brings a long history of serving and growing Arkansas’ running communities, both trail and road, to support the Mullet Run, leveraging their expertise and offering educational resources and training opportunities to runners throughout our region.”
The Mullet Trail Run and Beaver Bash is part of the Arkansas UltraRunning Association (AURA) 2025-2026 Ultra Trail Series (UTS) Lite race calendar, Berry said.
“The 14th and last race in the AURA UTS Lite calendar, the Northwoods Mullet looks forward to welcoming AURA runners from across the state to our trails here in Hot Springs, ranked among the best in Arkansas,” she continued. “And, the Mullet continues welcoming trail dogs, with the 25K and 10K Dog Divisions. That’s right, your trail dog can run in your event with you. Registration is limited to 10 dogs for each race, so get your puppers registered ASAP.”
Berry said dogsmust be on leash and under full control of the host. The Mullet Run Committee will ask owners to remove dogs exhibiting aggressive and threatening behavior.
On race day the 25K and 25K dog division start time will be 8 a.m. at the Cedar Glades trailhead. The 10K and 10K dog division start time will be 9 a.m.
The Beaver Bash will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Spectators who want to skip the races can join the party for $10 Beaver Bash Tickets.

Packet Pickup will be Friday, May 8, at Cedar Glades Park Pavilion from 4 to 7 p.m. and on race day at Cedar Glades Park Pavilion until 7:45 a.m. for the 25K and 8:45 a.m. for the 10K.
Fleet Feet Little Rock joins Harrison Construction in sponsoring the Northwoods Mullet Trail Run and Beaver Bash. Harrison Construction is a Hot Springs institution, now in its third generation serving Garland County and the surrounding region. Led by Hot Springs native Mike Harrison, Harrison Construction has sponsored the Mullet run from the beginning and returns this year as the primary sponsor for music and the grill area.
